Why a DJ?
The idea of being a DJ was first introduced to me by my dad, a busy and preoccupied doctor who never found the time to DJ himself. So why not tell his son to do it? And that is exactly how it came about. I first started on the Numark Mixtrack Pro II mixer and eventually was fortunate enough to get my first CDJ 3000s. Ever since that moment I have been learning the ins and outs of the CDJ's. I am still learning all the various techniques and refining my skills. I am no pro by any means, but I enjoy learning and the process of it.
What I've Learned
Being a DJ from scratch comes with many challenges. From figuring out the equipment to trying to get sound out of the speakers, every step seems to be a challenge. But that's just the fun of it all isn't it? I have learned throughout this process that being a DJ requires an open-mind and the willingness to learn. I can comfortably say that my soccer journey has helped evolve me into this character. Being a DJ and being able to mix my favorite music has given me enjoyment and the ability to bring others together. That for me, is one of the greatest parts about it.
