My Soccer Journey: Passion From the Beginning

From an early age soccer has always been a part of my life. Playing this wonderful game changed me and my perspective on the world right from the start. It was always inspiring to watch the "big kids" play as a little boy with the dream of being in their shoes one day. Simply being around the sport inspires me to continue working hard and being the best version of myself. My dad introduced me to soccer at a young age and I haven't looked back since. From playing locally on my township team to eventually an academy team, nothing beats the feeling of playing and enjoying the game I love.

What's Next?

After I finish high school this upcoming spring, I will be taking my talents to Gettysburg College. Being a college athlete has been a dream of mine since the beginning, and for me to be able to fulfill this goal is incredible. I am extremely humbled and honored for the opportunity and will continue working hard to achieves success. I will look to study chemistry as I ultimately hope to end up in the medical world. Being a doctor is also another aspiration in my life stemming from my compassion, care, and eagerness to make a change in the world.

What I've Learned

Soccer is not easy. Allow me to rephrase. Nothing in life is easy. Everything requires sheer will, determination, perseverance, and the list goes on. There are countless things to be thinking about when playing a sport. For me, soccer has not only built a strong framework for my discipline, but it has helped me to create strong values that I carry in my day-to-day life. For this reason, whatever I do is done with purpose and with effort. Being a DJ is quite literally a side hustle, but it is another chapter in my life that I will put forth effort into. It would be useless for me to put half of the effort into it, why not go for it? Soccer has created this mentality in my life, and for that, I will be forever grateful.
